Ingredients

Ubari Urad Dal – 1/2 cup

Palm jaggery – 1/2 cup (crumbled)

Rice flour – 2 tbsp

Water – 1.5 cups

Gingelly oil or ghee – 2 tbsp

Dry ginger powder – 1/4 tsp (optional)

Instructions

Dry roast urad dal till golden and aromatic. Cool and powder fine.

Dissolve palm jaggery in water, strain to remove impurities.

In a pan, mix urad flour and rice flour with jaggery water.

Cook on low flame, stirring constantly to avoid lumps.

Once thickened and glossy, add oil/ghee and stir well.

Serve warm with an extra drizzle of gingelly oil.
